The Munchkin Monkeys, and The Long Legged One

Green Monkey:"Ughhh! your too big! go away!
These are my Munchkin Monkeys. They are only half way done though. I actually started these before I even made my blog. I'm making one for my old alternate teacher's baby, one for my friend Loren, one for my friend that collects sock monkeys, her name is Renee, and one for me.
I call this picture, "The Royal Reject." I call it that because the munchkins are all together, and poor little, erm, I mean big, Long Legged Monkey with the crown coat of arms is all by himself. A reject, but still loved by me. Long Legged is the one I'm making for me.

Skirts, Heros, and an Accessory

Here is a picture of my bracelet I made today. My big sister was going to use the black beads to remake a necklace, but she just couldn't do anything with them. I don't really have anything to say about it, it was kind of just a random project the was successful.

This is my skirt almost done. I did the hardest and second to last part of my skirt today. I just need to hem it. It will be tricky to figure out how to, so I'll show you today. I fits perfect and I'm so happy it worked out well. I never got to sew my purse however, It was way too small. I needed it at least two times as big. Oh well.
On another note, Last night I drew a picture of my big sister's superhero. Her name is Chameleon, and she can turn invisible. I also got rid of one of my heroes because Chameleon took her place. Her story is something like she was researching on Borneo because of the pollution and found a cave where all the animals were locked up. She somehow discovered that there was a mad scientist who was mutating animals and causing the pollution. Her and her partners set the animals free, but meanwhile she got bit by a Chameleon that was mutated to not 0nly blend in with it's surroundings, but turn invisible. And, obviously, it gave her invisible superpowers.

Progress

These are pictures of my scarf. It's going quite well. This is only about an hour of work. It does kind of bug me that it curls in on itself. It really keeps me going how the colors keep changing randomly. It makes me want to hurry up and get to the next color. I can't wait till it's done!!
I also worked on my skirt today. I have the sides of the skirt and yoke sewed together, but before I can go on, I need some big chunky elastic for the top. I tried it on already and it fits perfectly.
I also finally got to my purse. I'm using a black and white really thin plaid fabricfor the outside and a light grey-ish blue for the lining. I haven't sewn anything, but I cut out the pattern and am going to iron them down tomorrow. That's all for now. Thanks for visiting!

New and Old

As promised, the half way done (yes, half already, it's quite an easy pattern) skirt pictures. I'm planning on making a few of them. One in pink hopefully. In the picture it's actually folded in half so it's easier to see the shape. I almost ran out of fabric for it. the last to pieces were supposed to be on the bias, but I had to cut them slightly off-kilter. I also cut out some of the butterflies and flowers out for any future appliqueing.

Now for the new project. It's a scarf that i'm doing in stockinette stich. I don't want to make a big deal out of it though, because I'm quite apt to abandon it half-way through. I just don't have enough patience. I might take a picture of it or the yarn at least so you can imagine it. For now I'll just describe it. It's light pink, red, and for a while it's black and white striped segments. It makes a really nice texture when knitted.

Teamwork

If you are reading this blog you should know that I have a crush on The Flash. It's just one of my many fantasies, like someone wanting to marry Heath Ledger. So for the first time I drew a picture of my fantasy. As you can see, Sky Girl (me) is flying above The Flash in an act of teamwork. And possibly attraction. Anyway, It isn't my best. Flash looks a little too wiggly.

I am also trying to make several skirts. I don't have any pictures though, and tomorrow I'm spending the day in Monterey, so you'll have to wait until Saturday. Thanks for reading my blog, Sky Girl

Super Secret Knitting

Here is a few pieces of my latest knitting project. It's a big secret what it is, except that only my big sister doesn't know. But now you have to guess. I should be done with it soon, I think I'm halfway done. I also recently decided my favorite thing to do in knitting was ribbing. I just think it's gorgeous.
In other news, Here is my latest hero. Her name is Stargirl and It's my little sister's hero. She projects any kind of energy and has a special ring that stores and attracts energy, and also plays a large role in how she gets her powers. I started working on her story, but today I'm not creative enough to think of anything. It goes something along the line of this: She gets this ring from her grandma that she really likes. Her grandma dies and she is sad. The family stops at a gas station on the way home from her funeral in the middle of an electric storm and the ring attracts the bolt of lightning. The properties of the ring combined with her DNA and the bolt create a new strand of her DNA, giving her her incredible powers.
I guess that's all for today, Thanks for reading my blog, Sky Girl.

Audrey's Purse

Here is the finished product of Audrey's purse. It's really been done for a few weeks now, but just today I finally remembered to put up the picture. It's made out of my sister's old dress and some satin ribbon for the strap. Yay recycling! Audrey was so excited when she got her purse! It took her a while to figure out what it is, but then she was walkin' around like she had struck gold. It was so cute, it was worth getting stabbed by a needle. I need to go to bed now so I'll keep this short. Good night!

Pets, Plastic, and Purses!

I'm so happy we finally got a cat! His name is supposed to be Nanuk, but it's a little weird sounding to walk around saying Nanuk! Nanuk! Nanuk! So, we were thinking of renaming him Jasper, Finley, or mabye perhaps Simon. My favorite name is Jasper. He's half Persian and half Siamese so he's really fluffy and beautiful.

Now to the plastic! These are my favored Jelly Shoes! Just today I got the grey ones, but I've had the blue ones and also a pair of clear ones for several weeks. I'm really excited I spotted the grey ones though, because they are much more Sky Girl worthy than the clear ones. I can't wait until I get a grey cape (sarong) and blue headband! Then I'll be completely Sky Girl!

Last but not least, the purses! I really need a new purse, but Target ran out of the Wonder Woman purses and I can't find any cute ones! I have a simple solution, however! I will sew my own! I've been craving a new sewing project anyway! It's obviously going to be blue and grey, and I already have the blue, so all I need is a nice grey! I can't wait!

Hero Happies!

I'm so happy today! I'm getting a cat, and I drew two fantastic hero pictures! The first was the one above. He is a fire controlling hero, but I don't know what to call him, and I don't want to color him in. He is one of my best masterpieces, so I wouldn't risk messing it up by coloring it in. However, I do know what the colors are going to be. It's actually completely purple, with the acception of the yellow strip of fire across his belly. He also might have gloves or might not. I can't make up my mind. So, for now it'll be whatever you think he has on.
Ok, so the next drawing is below. I drew that one last night out of a sudden desire to draw before bed. I've really been trying to draw this for a while, but it's never turned out this good. My favorite part is how helpless she looks. I don't usually draw things like that. And especially not when it's against someone without any powers. Now for the flaws. Although you probablly can't see it, (my scanner sucks), the villian has a tattoo on his chest positioned in a very feminine way. "Oh, darling, Sky Girl, would you like to see my new tat?" Heehee. Also, he has on sandals... hmm... a buff, tall and menicing villian with sandals on. hmm... Definitely not the best design for him. Anyway, It's probably my best, but it's still mediocre. I've got a long way to go...

114 Soda Can Tabs!

I finally collected 114 soda can tabs! There's a really cool belt I found here http://www.craftbits.com/viewProject.do?projectID=820 while I was browsing for projects. That was about a year ago. Last party I went to, I got at least 4 tabs over quota! now all I need is 20 yards of ribbon. Perferably blue ribbon, but I don't really care. I can't wait until it's done! I'll find an outfit to wear with it for the first week of Jr. High! I'm also really glad I got a good picture for this post. I'm really getting good at it!

Pictures

Ok, today I don't have too much news today, I did draw the fantastic picture above though. It was obviously a picture of Sky Girl. I don't draw much else these days. I scanned it for you along with the rest of my Sky Wall. This is going to be a looooonnnggg post. I have at least 16 pictures.

I'm Back!

Ok, I'm posting again. I wanted to post yesterday, but I was so busy! My ear is finally better, so yesterday was my first day out since last post! I went and spent most my day at my dad's store, then came home, hung out in the sewing room, and we had our relatives over. When they went home, my sisters and I went with them to hang out. I ended up going home at midnight. I want to show you this picture of a bug that I caught on Animal Crossings. It's called a Japanese Oak Silkmoth and you can only catch them at 12:00 I believe.

Also, my Sky Girl shirt was washed, so I wore my Sky Girl outfit to my dad's store. Also, my little sister noticed she wore her superhero outfit too. I managed to get a few pics.
